Biography

Antonio is the founder and President of Haya Energy Solutions, a specialized consulting firm focused on the energy sector, which has developed M&A projects in renewable and conventional power generation, cogeneration, district heating, gas and power retail, energy procurement and power optimization in France, Spain, Portugal, Germany and UK.

Prior to this, Antonio was CEO of KKR’s CELEST Power in France (2x410MW CCGT). He was also CEO of Endesa France and General Secretary, Strategy & Corporate Development Director at E.ON France. Formerly, he held different positions at Endesa, including Responsible for M&A at Endesa Europe and Regulation Specialist at Endesa Distribution.

Antonio holds an MBA from the University of Deusto and a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville.

Biography

Manuel has been serving as CEO of Haya Energy Solutions since March 2024, leveraging 10+ years of international experience in the energy sector. His approach, which integrates technical, commercial, regulatory, and strategic perspectives, has enabled him to successfully lead multiple M&A projects, including the acquisition of a major power utility in Italy, a renewable energy developer in France, and a large energy utility in Germany. Additionally, he has advised both energy consumers and producers on optimizing their energy strategies, driving cost reductions, revenue growth, and sustainability. In 2021, he spearheaded HES’s expansion into Spain, building the Seville office from the ground up, securing a strong client portfolio, and assembling a high-performing team.

Prior to joining HES, Manuel began his career in international construction projects with Abengoa, working in Spain, the U.K., and Chile. In 2016, he transitioned to CELEST under KKR ownership in France, where he managed operations and maintenance for two 420MW CCGT plants.

Manuel holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville and an MBA from the School of Industrial Organisation EOI.

Biography

Paloma is a Senior Consultant at Haya Energy Solutions. She has 5 years of experience specialising in energy markets in Spain.

She started at HES as an intern in 2018, participating in cogeneration and combined cycle projects. In 2019, she joined Elmya, S.A. as an Operations and Maintenance engineer in the photovoltaic sector, managing technical teams and supervising 300MW in solar parks in several countries. In 2021, she returned to HES as a Consultant, focusing on value capture projects through renewable energy installations and defining procurement, billing and energy management strategies for Spanish consumers.

Paloma holds a degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialisation in energy from the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville and completed her studies with a master’s in Seville and at the Central School of Nantes.

Biography

Lourdes is a Senior Consultant at Haya Energy Solutions with 13 years of experience in the energy sector.

She began her career at Nobatek, a French institute for energy and environmental transition in the construction industry. In 2012, she joined HES, contributing to M&A projects, energy strategies, and market operations for two CCGTs. In 2018, she became Portfolio Manager at SNCF, the French railway company, managing an electricity portfolio of 6 TWh. In 2022, she was appointed Deputy Director of Operations and Development at SNCF. Lourdes returned to HES in 2024 as Senior Consultant.

She holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville and completed her studies in International Business at the ENSAM (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers) and INSEEC.

Biography

His career started in civil engineering as a Project Manager in France, Martinique and Australia. Afterwards, he became the General Manager of a subsidiary in Venezuela. In 1992, he established Dalkia in Germany (district heating, cogeneration, and partnerships) and represented Véolia in Thailand. In 2000, he opened the commercial office of Endesa in France to take advantage of the liberalized retail market. From 2006, as a development Manager at Endesa France, he led Endesa’s plan for Combined Cycle generation in France and developed the wind and PV portfolio of Snet at the same time. 

Philippe worked for 3 years at E.ON’s headquarters coordinating the company´s activities in France. He was strongly involved in the French hydro concession renewal project. As a Senior Vice President – Project Director at Solvay Energy Services from April 2012 to February 2014 he was in charge of the H2/Power to gas and European direct market access deployment projects. Philippe has been an HES expert since 2014.

Philippe holds engineering degrees both from the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale des Ponts & Chaussées (France) and has a combined experience of more than 25 years in energy and infrastructure. In addition to English, Mr. Boulanger is fluent in French, German & Spanish.

Philippe has spent his entire career in the energy industry, first at TOTAL, from 1979 to 2001, and then at E.ON. At TOTAL, his experience covered upstream activities (oil & gas exploration) as well as downstream activities in the gas and power sectors. He led the successful negotiation and start of construction of the Taweelah A2 1350 MW gas-fired power and water desalination plant in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. 

After joining E.ON, he successfully developed the French retail gas business of E.ON Ruhrgas before becoming Director of Sales for both gas and power at E.ON France. Philippe is an HES expert since 2012.

Philippe holds an engineering degree from the Ecole Polytechnique (Paris, class of 1976) and an MBA from Berkeley University (California, USA, class of 1983).

Biography

Manuel has focused his professional career on the thermal power generation sector by holding several positions in the construction, operation and management of power plants in different countries. He started his career in 1972 at the Besos power plant (Spain). Since 1976, he participated in the construction and operation of the Foix power plant (Spain). In 1981, he was responsible for Maintenance Operations, to later become the Director of the plant in 1988. From 1987 to 1997, he was a member of the Executive Committee of the Térmicas del Besos Company. 

From 1998 to 2002, he was Head of Production of 5 plants (2,150 MW). In 2002, he arrived in France and worked as a Production Manager at Snet (5 power plants, 2,500 MW), for which he led several projects in coal-fired plants pollution, automation and processing biomass plant of Bialistok (Poland), and participated in the development of 4 CCGT units to be built in France. In 2008, he was appointed CEO of Endesa Hellas, where he was involved in the construction and operation of the Viotia 400MW CCGT (Greece). From 2012 to 2018, Manuel participated in the preparation of a number of Technical Due Dilligiences (Alpiq, Coriance, etc) and, more specifically, those related to Toul and Pont-sur-Sambre CCGTs (CELEST), power plants for which he also coordinated Operations and Maintenance since 2015. Manuel has worked as an independent consultant for HES since 2012. He was CEO of Endesa Hellas (Greece) between 2008 and 2010.

Manuel graduated from the Escuela Superior de Ingenieros de Barcelona (1971) and holds an MBA degree (1991).

En outre, il a conseillé les consommateurs et les producteurs d’énergie sur l’optimisation de leurs stratégies énergétiques, la réduction des coûts, la croissance des revenus et la durabilité. En 2021, il a été en charge du développement de HES en Espagne en créant le bureau de Séville en s’assurant un solide portefeuille de clients et en mettant en place une équipe qualifiée.

Elle a rejoint HES en tant que stagiaire en 2018, participant à des projets de cogénération et de CCGT. Biographie

Il a débuté sa carrière dans le génie civil en tant que chef de projet en France, en Martinique et en Australie. Par la suite, il devient directeur général d’une filiale au Venezuela. En 1992, il crée une filale pour Dalkia en Allemagne (chauffage urbain, cogénération et partenariats) et représente Véolia en Thaïlande. En 2000, il a ouvert le bureau commercial d’Endesa en France pour profiter de la libéralisation du marché de détail. A partir de 2006, en tant que responsable du développement chez Endesa France, il a dirigé le plan d’Endesa pour la production à cycle combiné gaz en France et a simultanément développé le portefeuille éolien et photovoltaïque de la Snet. 

Philippe a ensuite travaillé pendant 3 ans au siège d’E.ON pour coordonner les activités de l’entreprise en France. Il a été fortement impliqué dans le projet français de renouvellement de la concession hydroélectrique. En tant que Senior Vice President – Project Director chez Solvay Energy Services d’avril 2012 à février 2014, il était en charge des projets de déploiement H2/Power to gas et d’accès direct au marché européen. Philippe est un expert pour HES depuis 2014.

Philippe est ingénieur diplômé de l’Ecole Polytechnique et de l’Ecole Nationale des Ponts & Chaussées (France) et possède une expérience combinée de plus de 25 ans en énergie et infrastructures. En plus de l’anglais, M. Boulanger parle couramment le français, l’allemand et l’espagnol.

Au sein de TOTAL, son expérience a porté sur des activités allant de l’amont pétrolier (exploration et production) au développement de projets dans l’aval gazier et la génération d’électricité. Il a dirigé la négociation et le démarrage de la construction de l’usine de désalinisation d’eau et d’électricité au gaz de Taweelah A2 de 1350 MW à Abu Dhabi, E.A.U. 

Après avoir rejoint E.ON, il a développé avec succès l’activité française de vente de gaz au détail de E.ON Ruhrgas avant de devenir Directeur Commercial Gaz et électricité chez E.ON France. Philippe est un expert HES depuis 2012.

Philippe est ingénieur diplômé de l’Ecole Polytechnique (Paris, promotion 1976) et titulaire d’un MBA de l’Université de Berkeley (Californie, USA, promotion 1983).

Biographie

Manuel a axé sa carrière professionnelle sur le secteur de la production d’énergie thermique en occupant plusieurs postes dans la construction, l’exploitation et la gestion de centrales électriques dans différents pays. Il a débuté sa carrière en 1972 à la centrale électrique de Besos (Espagne). A partir de 1976, il participe à la construction et à l’exploitation de la centrale électrique de Foix (Espagne). En 1981, il en devient responsable des opérations d’entretien, puis directeur de centrale en 1988. De 1987 à 1997, il a été membre du Comité exécutif de la société Termicas del Besos. 

De 1998 à 2002, il a été responsable de la production de 5 centrales (2 150 MW). En 2002, il est arrivé en France et a travaillé comme directeur de production à la Snet (5 centrales électriques, 2 500 MW), où il a géré plusieurs projets de dépollution des centrales à charbon, d’automatisation et de traitement de la biomasse à Bialistok (Pologne). Il a été PDG de Endesa Hellas (Grèce) entre 2008 et 2010. Manuel est consultant expert indépendant pour HES depuis 2012.

Manuel est diplômé de l’Ecole Supérieure d’Ingenieurs de Barcelona (1971) et titulaire d’un MBA (1991).
